I’m delighted that Marie has agreed to be our Speaker for our first SMBN Meeting in Liverpool next month, thank you to Sarah Harvey for the introduction. Take a look at Marie’s inspirational and impressive story:

Born in Anfield, Liverpool, Marie dreamed of travelling the world. She set off with $75 in her pocket and a ticket to JFK, New York. 

After adventures in Boston, Spain and Romania, she returned to the UK and qualified as a Psychologist. Her fascination with the human condition has been with her since childhood and has been the basis of all of her work since. Marie worked for BBC Radio, Coca Cola and HM Treasury and in 2005 she left her full-time job to grow into the role as an international facilitator. Much of her work has been with global leadership teams in the technology sector.

More recently Marie delved into her love of story-telling producing events such as TEDxLiverpool, TEDxManchester and Northern Power Women. 

This year she qualified in and began to teach yoga and meditation. Yoga has become something she feels compelled to bring to the world, not only did it save her own knees but also brought about a calmness of mind and spirit unlike anything she’s experienced before.

Mum to Alice, Marie now lives in Wirral with kitties, Coco and Pepper. She’s happiest on her yoga mat, her bike, or hiking in the mountains.
