What a superwoman! Gill is not only a full-time teacher but she has trained and set-up as a Will Writer. Single Mum to two children and now SMBN County Coordinator for two Counties! Here’s what Gill says:
Hi everyone, my name is Gill and I work with ‘The Will Guys’ who are based in Wallsend, Newcastle. I am a Will writer and estate planner (presently part time). My day job is a full-time PE teacher, at an inner city school in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. I have been at the same school for nearly 23 years now!
5 years ago my life was turned upside down (for the better I have to say now!), following a messy divorce due to my husband’s behaviour, and I started to rebuild my life, as a single mother of two small gorgeous children. Things happen for a reason I believe. And now we get on much better, which is great for our kids too!
Following this there was a number of redundancies at the school, so I was pretty concerned that I could be next. This opportunity to get involved with ‘The Will Guys’ came about and I jumped at the chance… it sounded just what I needed – a new challenge!
So I commenced on my new profession as a Will writer. It was a steep learning curve, but one I have embraced and have loved every minute so far. I have met some fantastic people, both colleagues, but also the lovely clients that I help. This job is so rewarding and every clients circumstances are different, which makes the job even more interesting.
A positive of this job is that it can be done from the comfort of the clients home, which is a real bonus, particularly as it means I can come round at a time that suits the client and work around their busy schedule. If the client is not mobile then it makes it much more accessible as well, rather than having to get to a solicitors office.
However, I can also write the Will remotely, so this means I can help clients across the whole of the UK. Definitely an added bonus, as means I can help all you lovely single ladies reading this!!
If you have read to the end of this then I would love to hear from you and help you get this vitally important document in place. If you have already got your Will then well done! Just make sure you keep it up to date.
